In the Lecture Room is a brilliant, colorful window dedicated as a lasting memorial to Charlotte LaMoree Coombe, Superintendent of Sunday School and wife of the Rev. William Coombe, former pastor of the church.  She loved the children. The inscription on the window “Suffer the Little Children to come unto Me” is an appropriate memorial.  The figures of Jesus and the two children form a beautiful, serene tableau against the subdued background of the graceful arches of the temple, through which the blue, cloud-filled heaven shines.  The light of the temple window forms a halo around the head of our Saviour; His hand is raised to bless the children—the one in his arms has a hand placed on the heart of Our Lord while the older child clings to His brilliant purple robe.  The brown and russet tones of the temple are highlighted by the green of the growing plants and the red flowers symbolize the everlasting promise of life eternal and faith renewed.  On the left panel, the morning star surrounded by a sunburst is a reminder of Jesus saying “I am the First and the Last; The beginning and the End.”
